Restore with your private card
- Find the recovery card you saved as an image, your copied private key, or a browser/device that is still signed in.
- On a signed-in device, open My Journey → Carry your journey with you → Show my recovery card. Keep the card private.
- On your other device, open My Journey → Restore profile and paste the complete key, or scan the QR with your phone camera.
Both devices can stay signed in. The key is private: anyone with it can access your profile.
If the key is missing
Check your saved photos, downloads, notes and other signed-in browsers before clearing anything. A public username alone cannot restore access, and there is no automatic email reset. Without a valid key or a signed-in device, self-service recovery is unavailable. Do not share a recovery key on a public leaderboard or in a screenshot.
Find guest progress
Return in the same browser, device and website host you used before. Progress at islampixel.com is separate from www.islampixel.com. Private browsing and browser-data clearing can remove guest progress. A new profile can import the guest collection, favorites and visited lessons available in that browser; competitive points begin with new completions.
Time windows and assigned location
Guests use device-local time. Signed-in profiles use the time zone assigned when created, consistently across devices. See Profile Settings for that zone. Assignment uses your connection at signup and can differ from your physical location when using a VPN. It does not automatically follow travel.
Settings lets you adjust morning, evening and night app windows. These windows are not calculated sunrise, sunset or prayer times. Assigned profile country and time zone are owner-managed; they cannot currently be edited in the visitor settings. Changing display windows does not change your profile’s midnight reset.
Read while disconnected
- While connected, open Settings → Save offline reading and wait for the saved confirmation.
- Public mission reading pages, the guide and small artwork previews are now available on this device.
- Use Remove saved reading to free that reading storage. Your counters and collection remain separate.
Only pages already visited or explicitly saved are available offline. Profiles need a connection to record counters and points. Guest counters remain local. Offline reading should not be treated as a profile backup.
Add IslamPixel to your home screen
On iPhone or iPad, open IslamPixel in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen → Add. Keep Open as Web App enabled if shown. On Android in Chrome, open the ⋮ menu → Install and create shortcut → Install (called Add to home screen or Install app in some versions), or use Settings → Add to home screen when a browser install prompt is available.
Open IslamPixel from the new home-screen icon while connected, then use Settings → Save offline reading inside that app and wait for confirmation. Installation does not itself save all reading pages. Browser tabs and installed apps can keep separate storage; restore your profile with its private recovery card if needed. Browser-data clearing or storage cleanup can remove saved reading, so check it before travelling offline.
Profile access and gentle limits
A brief pause after rapid tapping protects participation totals; wait for the displayed timer. A profile paused by the owner cannot be restored by creating another browser session. Guest reading and public source pages remain available.
